May 8, 2026

5/8/26 Update from NYSDOT-

Crews will be working in the area this Friday and next week to complete turf establishment, final paving, and striping.

The work will not require the use of a detour; work shall be performed under shoulder/lane closures using alternating traffic patterns with flaggers.

2/20/26 Update from NYSDOT-

The New York State Department of Transportation is pleased to announce that State Route 100 is officially open to traffic.

They appreciate the public’s patience throughout construction. While the road is fully open, some minor work will take place in the Spring to complete the project. The work will be coordinated to avoid additional disruptions, and additional updates will be provided at that time.

2/11/26 Update from NYSDOT-

Due to weather conditions, we have not been able to pave this week. Unfortunately, the forecast for next week does not look suitable for paving either. We will continue to monitor the weather closely and provide updates. At this time, the road will remain closed through next week.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the job is completed properly.

2/3/26 Update from NYSDOT-

Due to the extreme weather conditions including temperatures which prevent us from paving, the road will remain closed through next week. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as conditions improve.

1/8/26 Update from NYSDOT-

Crews are working diligently to progress the culvert replacement along Rt. 100 over the Muscoot Reservoir. The precast culvert boxes were installed on December 22nd. Backfilling to the top of the structure was achieved this week and crews are transitioning to the construction of the headwalls and removal of the excavation supports.

Though we remained hopeful, the recent snow and rains affected the project schedule, pushing the completion at this site and the road opening to February 6th.

12/11/25 Update from NYSDOT-

Due to unforeseen site conditions requiring extensive excavation, the road closure will be extended until the middle of January 2026. Crews are finishing the site preparation work and will soon move the new culvert into place.
