The Veteran’s Committee of the Town of Somers was established on June 1, 2023. The committee consists of five members appointed by the Town Board to serve at its pleasure for two year terms. They advise and consult with the Town Board for development and implementation of the committee and its activities. Some of the responsibilities of the committee are organizing the annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies, coordinating the Military Tribute Banners and arranging veterans events and trips.
